City of Hope’s President and CEO Robert Stone spoke with Modern Healthcare’s Publisher Fawn Lopez One-on-One on innovatively democratizing access to cancer breakthroughs and discoveries. In the interview, he explained that people need timely access to doctors who are experts in treating their specific types of cancers—within the communities they seek treatments. These people also need knowledge on the availability of relevant clinical trials and therapeutics. He then remarked that to provide this access, AccessHope is working with 75 leading employers to offer the renowned expertise of four NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer to more than 3 million lives through community-based care.
