Most people in the U.S. have been touched by cancer in one way or another. Approximately 46 million people who live in rural communities do not have access to National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers. AccessHope and Carrum Health have joined together to offer extended remote NCI-specialized cancer expertise and support to more patients nationwide. This effort provides access to leading-edge insights and research for local oncologists and reduces geography-based health disparities.
For geographical areas that may not have had access to this level of cancer expertise in the past, the partnership between AccessHope and Carrum Health is key to reduce health disparities and avoid low-value care for employers and their employees, especially when cancer care costs are on the rise.
